“Willow May Goes to the Midnight Carnival” by Icats Nitram is about a little girl who goes to a weird carnival that is unusual.  It is unusual because there are vampires, wolves, and one-eyed clowns.

My favorite character in this book is the vampire.  She gets to walk on the high wire and that is pretty amazing.  My least favorite part of the book is that Willow May’s face is never shown.  I would really like to know what she looks like.

The illustrations in this book are pretty good because they are very bright and colorful and plenty of them!

Overall, I enjoyed reading “Willow May Goes to the Midnight Carnival,” but I would not recommend it to my friends because the story was not very interesting.  The book says this was written for ages 4-8 but I think it is too long to keep younger kids’ attention.  I would make the story much shorter.
