Grayce:  “Willoughby didn’t know where the moon was, so he went to find it. Through his closet door there was the moon and a giant snail. I’ve never seen a giant snail ever in my life. I love that the book shines – just black and white and silver by itself. Willoughby was a brave boy to go into the cave. At first I thought the snail was Willoughby, but then I realized the boy was Willoughby. I give it four stars because I miss the colors, but I like it and I think other kids would like it too.”

Parent’s Comments:  I love books that help children “see” in unique and different ways. What if your world was just black and white and silver? By choosing these colors in “Willoughby & the Moon,” the reader is transported through a closet door onto the moon’s surface itself. In this strange, but beautiful world, Willoughby befriends a giant snail that has lost his ball. By the end, the ball is found and so is a team of snails. Let the games begin!
