Have you ever been mad at your brother or sister? This boy named Devin is not happy with either his older brother Marcus or his sister, Nadia. It’s not just siblings that bother Devin, but he is not happy with Mr. Wiley and he’s not even a relative.

As they wait for a plane, Marcus listens to music and ignores everyone else. Nadia reads a book called “Bear Smart or Die” while Devin writes in his journal. When the plane arrives Marcus is too into his music to listen to Nadia calling him.

When their pilot dies, Nadia is forced to fly the plane. When an inexperienced kid tries to fly a plane you know there will be a crash and that is exactly what happens. They find themselves stuck on an island. With four people, with no food and only one adult and a lawyer at that, you never know what is going to happen.

One of the parts I found most interesting in this book was when Mr. Wiley broke his arm. They had to be pretty creative and use his jacket as a sling; with no material to wrap it in they have to rely on duct tape. “Wild Ride” is a easy book to read. It is a novel in a comic-book format. I think that kids will really enjoy reading it because of its format and funny adventures.

Take a “Wild Ride” on the adventure of your life!
