“Whoo! Whoo! Goes the Train” is the story of Allan who loves anything related to trains. He has train toys, train books, and a wooden train. He enjoys watching trains at the railroad crossing on the way to the library. Finally, the day arrives when he is able to actually ride on a real train.
Cayden: “We like trains a lot too! We rode on Thomas the Train when he came here. Why does it say that the train goes ‘Whoo Whoo’? I thought trains said ‘Choo Choo’! I liked looking at all of the pictures in the book. His train lamp was very cool! I liked when the train went through the tunnel and it was dark. I liked that he got to ride on a real train too!”
Max: “We see trains when we are in the car to go to the library too! Like him! I like when the guy says ‘All aboard!’”
Parent’s comments:
My boys love trains so they were both very excited to read this book! The illustrations were very interesting to them and they loved looking at the different kinds of trains. I was happy to see a built-in color lesson as Max is currently working on his colors. “Whoo! Whoo! Goes the Train” by Anne Rockwell is the perfect book for the little train lover in your life!
