“Whitey on the Ranch” is a book for older children. It describes a truck’s point of view on living and working on a ranch. The illustrations are in black and white.

Zoey:

“I really think this book is for boys. It’s about a white truck and his owner who live on a ranch. The pictures were in black and white. I didn’t want to keep reading it because the truck called his owner a moron and you should never ever call anyone names. It did tell a lot about working on a ranch in Texas.”

Nana:

Zoey just didn’t want to complete reading this book. First, she didn’t like the black and white pictures and when the truck started calling his owner a moron she just stopped. I think “Whitey on the Ranch” is for older children who don’t really care if the pictures are colorful or not. However, I’m like Zoey, for someone that is her age, or any young child, I’m not sure calling people morons is a good lesson.
