Grayce:

“This book is about animals of the rainforests, vines, trees and plants. It talked about the wetness. There are four neighborhoods in a rainforest. We can put signs up on trees if we go to a rainforest then people will know it’s endangered. I learned piranhas have sharp teeth and they are twelve inches long. One can strip your flesh off in seconds and the vampire bat will suck cattle’s blood! The tree frogs are cute, but the colorful ones are poisonous. My friend, Emily, has a neighbor with a macaw. I’ve pet it. Bindi the Jungle Girl has a macaw too.

Parent’s comments:

This book is so alive and rich in detail that a discussion about what we read, saw and imagined lasted for an hour. It’s an engrossing book for young and old and will have the most avid science fans enraptured. We love this book and would recommend it to others. “Tropical Rainforests” by Seymour Simon is a library must-have.
