It is time for spring cleaning at the bear house and the cubs are learning the lesson of rewarding work and being proud of the work we do! Mama and Papa bear are busy cleaning, but the cubs are off playing instead of doing their job. When Papa has finished his job and checks on the cubs, they learn a lesson is finishing a job and taking pride in the work that we do. This is a wonderful teaching tool for kids of all ages.

Madison: “Mama and Papa were cleaning and working, but the cubs were playing. They were supposed to be working. Papa told them they needed to be obeying and cleaning because it makes God proud.”

During the story she said “oh no, the rail is broken! Why did they have a baby? Why is the baby named Honey? She doesn’t look like Honey. Why does she have a headband?”

Mom: I loved this story! It teaches a wonderful lesson and has a great guide for parents on the last page. I used this guide of questions to help make sure Madison understood the moral of the story and help her to understand how the work she does around our house makes it better for the entire family. I also was able to show her how proud her good work made me as her mother. I would highly recommend “The Berenstain Bears and a Job Well Done” to any parent raising young children. It’s a classic Berenstain Bear story!
