The “Stars & Planets” kit by SmartLab comes with a book and two experiments to conduct.  The book is called “Earth and Beyond!”

“Earth and Beyond!” gives you lots of information about our solar system.  It gives you detailed information about the sun and each of the nine planets.  I never knew Jupiter was so big!  One of the activities shows you how far apart the planets really are from each other.

One of the experiments is a model that shows how the planets revolve around the sun.  It’s so easy!  The other experiment is a planetarium model showing either the stars of the northern hemisphere or the southern hemisphere.  It is so cool because you get to see the stars like you have never seen them before!

This is a project for the entire family to enjoy.  I think this kit is good for ages 7 and up, but even my 5-year-old sister learned some things from it.

Overall, I think that “Stars & Planets: Earth and Beyond!” was great.  My favorite part of this kit was the planetarium, because you get to see what the people on the other side of the world see!
