“Sleigh Bells in Springtime: Frogs Calling” is brightly colored with pastels and pictures of nature that all children can relate to. It is full of information about the outdoor sights and sounds. The author also shows how a little girl and her father spend time together and she has a lot of questions, so rather than tell her he takes her to the library where she can learn more.

Zoey:

“I loved this book. When I go outside with my PaPa we look for birds, frogs and fish. We hear all kinds of different sounds at night too. My favorite picture was the birds in springtime. This little girl goes with her dad to visit nature and she thinks she hears sleigh bells which she loves. They couldn’t find what was making the noise so her dad takes her to the library to look up information. She likes spending time with her dad and he always gives her clues as she looks at the different animals and insects.”

Nana:

“Sleigh Bells in Springtime: Frogs Calling” was a wonderful book that encourages children to spend time in nature listening to all the sounds and finding different animals. It doesn’t cost anything and parents can have a wonderful time exploring nature. Zoey loved this book. The pictures combined bright, colorful drawings and real pictures of frogs.
