Grayce: “The front is funky. The picture of all the dogs all dirty at the end is super silly. I love the pictures. It really rhymes. I thought it was fun to read. I would recommend this book to other kids like me. I also loved the page with all the hair-dos. I can’t wait until I can read this book all by myself.”

Parent’s comments:

The cover, gorgeously illustrated, really sets the tone for a fun read. “Shampoodle” by Joan Holub is about a dog grooming shop by the same name with a hilarious cast of characters – a pug, a poodle, a beagle and Shetland sheep to name a few. A mischievous cat causes a stir, which has ramifications until the very end (think dirty dogs). A great read and must-add to your library.
