The “Seekers” series by Erin Hunter continues with book two, “Great Bear Lake.”  Toklo, Lusa and Ujurak’s journey to the Aurora Borealis (also known as “the place where bear spirits dance in the sky”) is still in progress.  While on their way they decide to stop at Great Bear Lake where they meet Kallik and Taqqiq.  They are two polar bear cubs, which where separated from their mother when she was attacked by an orca.

The cubs also learn that each breed of bear is having trouble finding food.  Each bear decides to help their kind of bear as all the animals struggle to find food.  Twisting fate brings these five bears together for an incredible and harsh journey.  While on their journey, the bears had to fight for survival.  Once, Kallik even tried eating grass!

This book is marvelous and adventurous.  The author did an amazing job writing this book!  It was way better than I expected!

My favorite thing about this book is how each bear has an individual personality – it made the story more interesting.  I also learned more about what global warming is doing to polar bears!

On my accords, “Seekers: Great Bear Lake” by Erin Hunter is highly recommended!  I think this new series by Erin Hunter will soon be a bestseller!
