Max:
“Everyone kept telling the cat to scat! That wasn’t very nice. He was lost. Even the frog said for him to scat. Then he tried to sleep in the skunk’s home. That isn’t good! I liked that he found his way home. I think that boy missed him.”
Parent’s comments:
My son enjoyed the repetition in “Scat, Cat!” as he was able to recognize and read the words that appeared over and over in the book. The story, although basic, was interesting enough to hold his attention. He really enjoyed the fact that he was able to read some of the words on his own!
