Grayce: “This is a real story…because I looked at the back page and can tell. It’s about a baby girl. I think it’s a cute story and I like that it’s a real story. I like how she tells about her life with her dog, Sabu. I love seeing the picture of her and Sabu together because you can tell it’s a real story, it’s a photo.
Parent’s comments: I think it’s incredibly valuable for parents to be able to show their children that other children write stories that make it into hard cover books – that anyone can be an author. Each page starts with, “When I…” and can easily be read by a kindergartener or first grader. “Sabu & Me” is a sweet and simple story and helps open up several discussions – children as authors, rescuing animals, and visiting the website to learn more.
