“Rainy Day Games: Fun with the Animals of Noah’s Ark” begins by saying that a great flood was coming and that God instructed Noah to build an ark that could hold a set of every type of animal and Noah’s family. Then the book goes on to speculate what the animals would do having to stay inside for 40 days and nights! A zebra maze? Hide and seek with a chameleon?
Max: “They played some fun games! I don’t like having to stay inside when it is raining either. My favorite part was when the beavers were batting the ball to each other with their tails. And I liked when the birds used the elephant as a slide!”
Parent’s comments:
“Rainy Day Games: Fun with the Animals of Noah’s Ark” by Andy McGuire is a creative book. We have read numerous Noah’s Ark books but until now have never read one this unique. Both my son and I enjoyed this new twist on the familiar tale. The illustrations are wonderful and very fun to look at! I think that the book may also provide inspiration to my own children on games to play on rainy days.
