“Pinkalicious: Thanksgiving Helper” by Victoria Kann is another great addition to the Pinkalicious collection. Pinkalicious and her little brother Peter decide that this year for Thanksgiving they want to be helpers. So when dad was raking leaves they offered to help, but after cannonballing into the pile of leaves their dad thought they should help in the house. So they both set out to make the house look turkeytastic, but one thing led to another and the room was soon a mess. Nothing was going right for Pinkalicious and her bother Peter. Even an attempt to make sweet potato casserole turned into a disaster. Pinkalicious was afraid they were the worst Thanksgiving helpers ever.
Pinkalicious and her brother Peter end up helping their dad with something very important, and the whole family had a wonderful Thanksgiving after all.
Ciara was having so much fun reading the book and looking at the pictures! The story line is great for 2nd graders and she was able to read the entire book by herself. Alyvia enjoyed looking at all the festive pictures and thought it all the messes Pinkalicious and her brother made were super funny.
We recommend “Pinkalicious: Thanksgiving Helper” by Victoria Kann as a wonderful book to start family fun reading for the holiday season, and a great way to talk about all the things you and your family are thankful for this Thanksgiving.
