“Ooh Lolita” by L. Gina Davis is about a bad witch named Lolita, who doesn’t like happy children. She has two cats. Bufu likes Lolita and wants to be like her, but Chum, the other cat does not.
One day the Lolita disguised herself like a beautiful Queen and with Bufu’s help, she tricked the happy kids at the playground into her house. She made them clean her house all day and wouldn’t let them go back to being happy kids playing at the playground!
I liked the story and loved the bright colored pictures. I think younger kids will love this “Ooh Lolita” by L.Gina Davis and learn not to trust strangers, no matter how they look!
Note from Mom: Although Paola enjoyed the book, as a mother and a retired pre-school teacher, I do not think it is appropriate that words like ‘hate’ are used in a book geared to small children.
