“NightmareAcademy #2: Monster Madness” is about three kids – Charlie, Theodore, and Violet – who are students at the NightmareAcademy. There are four mega-monsters known as the Named. If all four of these mega-monsters get to Earth, they can summon the most powerful monster known as the Fifth. Two mega-monsters are currently on Earth. The only thing stopping the other two from getting to Earth is the creature known as the Guardian; however, the Guardian is dying. Charlie and his friends set out to save him. Will they prevail? Or will the Guardian die and leave Earth unprotected?
I really liked this book because it had lots of magic and plenty of monsters. It was well written and easy to follow. It is book #2 in the series, but you do not have to read the first book in order to understand this one. However, it would have been nice and helpful to have a summary of book #1 to help people understand some things like how did the 2 mega-monsters get to Earth in the first place?
Overall, this book was a great book! If you want to find out if the Guardian lives and saves Earth, then read “NightmareAcademy #2: Monster Madness” by Dean Lorey.
