“My Very First Book of Manners” is a compact board book that teaches young children how to say ‘please,’ ‘thank you,” and other ways to be polite.

Max: “I like the rhymes in the book. I say all of the things in the book but this would be good for babies to learn to say them! It is good to say ‘thank you’ when someone gives you something!”

Parent’s comments:

Sparks’ rhyming text is very catchy and effective in “My Very First Book of Manners.” Some of the verses got stuck in my son’s head and he ran around the house repeating them over and over. It is a positive, “feel-good” book that would be appropriate for any young child, or even for an older one who needs a little reminder every now and then of how to be polite.
