“My Name is Not Isabella” by Jennifer Fosberry is a story about a young girl who decides to be several famous women in history.  Isabella, the young girl, keeps changing her mind on who she wants to be.  My favorite part of the story is when the girl pretends to be Annie Oakley because she uses a bottle of maple syrup as her gun.  My least favorite part is when she pretends to be Sally Ride because I am not very interested in astronauts.  The other famous women mentioned are Rosa Parks, Marie Curie and Elizabeth Blackwell.  I had only heard of Elizebeth Blackwell before I read this book.

The illustrations in “My Name is Not Isabella” are very, very colorful.  They make me feel like I have entered into a different world.  I also think this book is definitely good for children ages 6 to 9.

I would definitely tell my friends about this book because it is funny and I learned a little bit about history.  At the back of the book are short paragraphs about each famous woman mentioned in “My Name is Not Isabella.”
