“My Love Will Be With You” focuses on the love and devotion of a father to his child.  The book begins with a father eagle telling his child, “Someday you’ll soar through a high mountain pass” and then goes on to feature a variety of other animals before ending with a human father and his baby.

Cayden:  “I liked the animals in the book.  My favorite was when the daddy lion talked to the baby lion about hunting in the grass.  I liked the pigeons in the park too.  I think they were looking for people to feed them food.  There were good pictures in this book.”

Max:  “I liked the panda bear.  He hugged the baby bear.  I liked the monkey climbing.”

Parent’s comments:
My children enjoyed seeing what each animal father was going to say to his child about the things that the child would do when they grew up.  Max also had fun learning some new animals that he was not familiar with before.  “My Love Will Be With You” by Laura Krauss Melmed would be a wonderful bedtime story for a father to read to his son or daughter.  The words and the illustrations are very calming and soothing and reading this book would be the perfect way to end the day.
