“My Little Pony: Caps in the Air!” is part of the “I Can Read!” series of books.  It is a Stage 1 book for beginning readers.

Cayden:  “Some of the girls in my school have these ponies.  I think they are for girls but the book is about graduation.  I had graduation from my preschool like they are graduating.  I liked learning to read some of the words and I liked when there were pictures for some of the words too.”

Parent’s comments:
My son is a beginning reader and we love books from the “I Can Read!” series.  Like the others, this book has easy sentences and familiar words.  “My Little Pony: Caps in the Air!” by Karen Sherman also has pictures in place of some of the words.  While I like the pictures for some of the harder words, I think it would be more beneficial to the child if the actual word that the picture is representing would be printed underneath the picture each time so the child can see and familiarize themselves with what the word looks like.
