“Mary Engelbreit’s Mother Goose Favorites” is composed of classic Mother Goose rhymes such as “Hickory, Dickory Dock,” “Jack and Jill,” “Little Boy Blue,” “Humpty Dumpty,” and many more!
Cayden: “I like Mother Goose stories!”
Cayden: “Some of these are the same pictures as the other Mother Goose books that we have.”
Cayden: “The piggy that has none only has three peas!”
Max: “Peas! Peas!”
Max: “Spider!”
Cayden: “That spider isn’t very scary looking. It is smiling and has a hat on!”
Cayden: “What are tarts?”
Cayden: “She should have chased after him to get those tarts back!”
Max: “Ghosts! Wooooooooo!”
Cayden: “The ghostesses one is real funny!
Cayden: “That clock doesn’t say 1! Why do they say the clock struck one when it didn’t?”
Cayden: “She draws good pictures!”
Parent’s comments:
“Mary Engelbreit’s Mother Goose Favorites” is a fun compilation of over twenty Mother Goose classics and is full of wonderful Mary Engelbreit illustrations. As Cayden noticed right away, many of the illustrations and rhymes were familiar to him as a lot of the same exact ones appear in the Mary Engelbreit Mother Goose board books that we already own. I would recommend purchasing either, or, and not both; otherwise you will be getting a lot of duplicate pages. Overall, if you don’t already own the smaller six rhymes apiece board books, this book would be a wonderful addition to any child’s library!
