This story is about a little witch named Magic Trixie.  She wants to find something “Wow!” to impress her classmates at show and tell. At the same time, at home she is bothered by her baby sister because Magic Trixie wants to use every big kid thing. Her baby sister, Abby Cadabra, gets to use all of them, and she doesn’t. At the end of the book, Magic Trixie learns a lesson about family and friends.

My favorite part in this book was how many show and tells there were. At Magic Trixie’s school the students are two vampires, one werewolf, one Frankenstein and one mummy, and Magic Trixie who is a witch. Her teacher is a ghost. I thought it was pretty cool.

My favorite character is the kitten, Scratches, because he is so cute. My three favorite parts that are: the cutest parts where he is licking the icing off her pancakes and where Magic Trixie scratches the top of his head. The last one is at the end where she is grounded and Scratches has big eyes and his ears are back. So cute!

This book is a graphic novel, which means it’s like a cartoon. I think the pictures are funny and creepy. Sometimes the pictures were difficult to follow, but I like them a lot because they were magical.

I would recommend “Magic Trixie” by Jill Thompson to my friends because it is a graphic novel and it’s very funny. I would also recommend this book to kids who like cartoons or comic books.
