This is true story about a woman named Lois. In the story Lois finds a baby cardinal and takes it home to take care of it. She names the baby cardinal “Ruby.” My favorite character is Ruby. My favorite part is when Lois saves Ruby from getting run over.

My favorite photo/drawing is when Ruby is wearing a cute little Indian feather hat. Ruby goes to the vet to get a health check-up to make sure she isn’t sick. Soon Ruby grows older and is ready to be on her own.

I think kids of all ages would like this story because it is funny, cute, happy and surprising. If I could give one-hundred stars to “Loving Ruby” by Lois Chazen, I would. I would love everybody to discover the love of birds with family and friends.
