Cayden: “In this book there is a girl and she is going to Kindergarten, just like I will be next year. I liked seeing the things that she did there. My favorite part was when they went on the monkey bars and pretended that they were in the jungle. There were pretend snakes and alligators trying to get them! That would be fun to play. I hope we do that when I am in Kindergarten! My favorite picture was the one of the teacher when the girl thought that the teacher was going to be scary!”
Parent’s comments:
We enjoyed the creative, diary format of the book. The illustrations were also quite entertaining. I think that “Kindergarten Diary” could help to alleviate some of a child’s fears about Kindergarten and recommend it to any child who is on the verge of making the Preschool to Kindergarten transition.
