In “I Love You, God,” author P.K. Hallinan presents the different ways that a child can show their love to God.

Cayden: “I liked how the book rhymed but I didn’t know what a lot of the words meant in it. Most of them I could figure out by the pictures though – like the part about holding out a hand during life’s trials. That meant helping that other kid getting up after they fell off their skateboard. My favorite picture was the sunset picture at the end of the book. This book was about being nice and doing good things.”

Parent’s comments:

“I Love You, God” by P.K. Hallinan is a cheerful book filled with bright, colorful illustrations. The rhyming text is catchy and, although some of the words were a little advanced, the book flowed smoothly. The illustrations complement the text nicely and did a wonderful job “explaining” to my son some of the phrases that he didn’t understand. This book would be a great book for Sunday School teachers to read to their classes.
