“Just a Little Sick” is an “I Can Read!” book geared toward emergent readers. Little Critter is excited to be home sick from school. Since he is only a little bit sick he thinks that he is going to have a day filled with fun and games. However, he doesn’t end up having the day that he anticipated.

Cayden: “This was a good book because I could read almost all of the words. I like reading stories by myself. I liked looking at the pictures in the book too because there were a lot of different things in them. My favorite part was when he tried to play video games but his mom wouldn’t let him.”

Parent’s comments:

“Just a Little Sick” by Mercer Mayer is a great “I Can Read!” book for those just beginning to read. The words are basic but the story line is interesting. The illustrations are creative and fun to look at. We recommend this book to any new reader who loves Little Critters books!
