This book is about Vikings and dragons. One Viking, named Hiccup, lives in the Viking village. Hiccup’s dad wants him to learn how to kill dragons, but when Hiccup befriends one of the dragons how is it possible? The dragon name is Toothless. Every week Hiccup goes to a dragon fighting rink to practice. Hiccup meets a girl Named Astrid. They both are good friends. When Astrid finds out he is friends with a dragon she tries to keep it a secret. One day his dad spots him playing with Toothless and he locks the dragon up. After something amazing happens, Hiccup’s dad makes a surprising announcement.
My favorite part of the book is when they all try to fight one of the dragons and it makes a big mess! My favorite dragon is the Montrous Nightmare because it’s the deadliest and is the strongest and tallest. This book is really funny and I love all the different kinds of dragons! I think kids of all ages would like “How to Train Your Dragon: The Chapter Book.”
