I liked the book because I can test myself in science, math, social studies, and language arts. I like when my mom gives us questions, from the sections we select, and we get to answer them. It is also good to review new material your teacher taught in class, or to refresh you memory on topics you learned earlier in the year.
I found it easy-to-use. You do not have to force it open or hold it down, because it stands up on its own. I would recommend this to kids my age. It is neat, especially if your parents work and you need help with your homework.
Parent’s Note:
This is a wonderful book. It is easy-to-use and covers the major topics where most kids may have difficulty. The spiral binding and stand-up format makes the book easy to handle, because it rests easily on any tabletop. As a parent, I liked the illustrations that made explaining a concept easier.
In addition to helping Eric with homework, I used “Homework Helpster Grade 4” to play games. I have the kids pick a section– math, science, etc, and then ask questions about that topic. The team with the most correct answers wins. They enjoyed the competition, and were elated every time they answered correctly.
