“Halloween Night” by Marjorie Dennis Murray is a rhyming poem about monsters that are getting ready for a party. They prepare lots of yucky things for the party like rotten eggs, grubs and crunchy legs. It’s so gross!
The illustrations in the book are really imaginative. My favorite part of the story is when the bats come out because they are so cute. My other favorite characters are the little green creepies and the witch’s pet monster, Doop. They are scary cute, not scary, scary. I like this entire book. There’s not one thing I do not like about it!
This book is very Halloweenish and is great for getting you into the Halloween Spirit at the beginning of October. I will tell all of my friends about “Halloween Night” by Marjorie Dennis Murray.
