My favorite part of the book is when the rabbit sighs and says, “I guess it’s really hard to predict the weather” because I do that (sigh). It’s a funny book, I never thought of groundhogs having weather school. I learned how nature predicts weather and I got all the Groundhog test questions right – even the date for Groundhog Day!
Parent’s Comments:
This was a really wonderfully illustrated and thought-provoking story, full of interesting and relevant facts woven through it. For example, there is a page dedicated to nature predicting the weather, to famous groundhogs throughout history and how to build a burrow. There is so much information going on that it will really delight the ages between 5 and 10. We highly recommend “Groundhog Weather School” by Joan Holub.
