“Gorillas” by Seymour Simon is a good book about gorillas. Did you know a gorilla can eat up to fifty pounds of plants a day? They eat juicy fruits, leaves, stems and shoots. I also learned that gorillas are very playful. Gorillas are endangered because of poachers and hunters. Their only real enemy is people.
My favorite part of the books was the pictures. There were lots of close-ups with lots of details of the gorillas. There was even a close-up of a gorilla’s hand. The gorillas’ hands are big and black and thick with long black fingernails. My favorite picture is of a baby climbing on its mother’s head.
I would recommend “Gorillas” by Seymour Simon to people who want to learn more about gorillas. Even my four-year-old brother and my mom enjoyed this book.
