In this third and final installment of The Rise and Fall of Dani Truehart series by Michele Kwasniewski, readers are shown that despite being famous, actions have consequences, sort of. Dani Truehart rose to overnight stardom, after a tumultuous childhood, under the management of Jenner and the guardianship of Martin.  Touring the world to promote her album and drawing in Taylor Swift-style loyal fans, the Queen of Harts has been floating on her fame.  However, some of her friendships and decision-making have become toxic, as some take advantage of her or look to dim her shining star, ultimately leading to her fall from grace.

Despite being famous Dani is still a kid, something we fail to remember often in the real world, readers get to see this firsthand in the lack of maturity she displays with many of her actions throughout this read.  However, we also see her vulnerabilities and insecurities there too, as events play out and her struggles with the lack of stability and love come to the forefront.  Suddenly Dani’s past seems too reminiscent of her present and she begins to face the music, so to speak.

Author Michele Kwasniewski once again does a remarkable job channeling her own professional career and experiences into the characters she’s created on the page.  From the “clean-up” public relations team to the use of media and public causes, this reads like a true celebrity gossip magazine and is all too suggestive of the real-life handling of celebrity mess-ups.

“Falling Star” gives readers a look into what can happen when the paparazzi turns against you, as well as the dangers of technology and cyber security, and the importance of doing right when given a second, third, and even fourth chance. Consequences eventually catch up to everyone, famous or not. They may just look a little different, but it’s important to never take those you love and trust for granted.

Michele Kwasniewski sadly wraps up this incredible series with this final book, “Falling Star.” But she’s created a character in Dani Truehart that readers will continue to see each and every day in the celebrities, musicians, and rising talent surrounding us.
