The classic story of Cinderella was given in this sample of “Fairy Tales: Twelve Timeless Treasures.” The book is set to include” Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Princess and the Pea, Rapunzel, Thumbelina, The Frog Prince, Snow White and many more. The story of Cinderella was a condensed version with all the main points included. The attention span is aimed perfectly for children ages 2 -8, but the book is for all ages. Cinderella was beautifully illustrated and fun to read to my children. I only wish more of the stories were included to see if they would follow suit, and to get a feel of how this book sets itself apart from all the other classic tale books on the market. I also feel while everyone knows the story of Cinderella, it would have been nice to be able to read a story less well known to my daughter, such as “Rapunzel” or “The Princess and the Pea.” Based on the sample I have seen of this book, it is sure to be a hit with many children. It is easy to read and follow, beautifully illustrated and perfect for the attention span of little ones. Below is what Madison had to say about the story.

Madison: “Cinderella’s real name was Ella. She had two mean sisters. They made her do all the chores. Her step mother was mean too! Cinderella wanted to go to the ball. Her step mom said no. She cried. The fairy Godmother came to help. She changed her into a princess! At the ball the prince danced with her. She had fun. Her time was up and she ran. She lost a shoe. The prince tried the shoe on all the girls. It fit Cinderella! They got married and were happy forever.”

“What is a step mother?” “Can we read the other stories?”

Madison and Mom: We both recommend “Fairy Tales: Twelve Timeless Treasures.”
