“Easter Bunny in Training” by Maryann Cocca-Leffler is about Tini, a bunny, who goes to EasterBunnySchool. She and other bunnies learn all they need to know about being the Easter Bunny from the real Easter Bunny himself! They learn how to make chocolate bunnies, how to color eggs, how to sew bonnets, and how to hide eggs.
Mom: “What did you think about the book?”
Brooke: “I really like this book. I liked when the bunnies learn how to hide the eggs because it gave me ideas of where to look for eggs at Easter time.”
Mom: “Anything else you want to say about the book?”
Brooke: “I do not like the holes on the pages, because it doesn’t really make sense.”
Parent’s comments:
This book was very cute and colorful. Brooke liked it, but the cut-out windows were not very interesting to her. She did not understand them. The windows did not make her like the book any less, but it did distract her some while reading it because she was trying to figure out why they were there.
Overall, “Easter Bunny in Training” by Maryann Cocca-Leffler was great, but the special window idea was lost on us.
