When my daddy told me I would receive “Delivering Dreams” by Lori Preusch to review, we both thought I would like it. After seeing the cover of this book, though, I was not excited. I first thought the book would be about a little girl who had envelopes that were full of dreams, and make them magically appear to little boys and girls everywhere. I opened up the book and read a page, but I didn’t like it at first, so I asked my daddy to read it to me.

What we found is that the book is about a young girl who has been waiting for letters from her grandpa, who sends her letters that she dreams about, and eventually gets to go on real adventures.

When my daddy was reading the story, I asked him if it was a poem. He said it was. I like the way the poem sounded because it sounded like a song. My favorite line of the book is “My dreams are now real, as real as can be, like Auckland or Spain or the Aegean Sea,” because at first the little girl’s dreams were just imaginations that were not real. But then, her dreams became real. They became real when she saw her grandpa in the hot air balloon.

My favorite part of “Delivering Dreams” by Lori Preusch was the envelope. Though I have read books that have pages that open, I really liked the envelope because it was creative, and you could open it, and there were like a thousand pictures of adventures in it.
