The story of Christmas is retold in this illustrated puzzle book.  Written for children, Juliet David tells the story of Jesus’ birth in an easy-to-understand manner.  The story encourages children to ask questions and understand exactly what Christmas means.  Complete with six interactive puzzles, this book is full of fun for children ages three and older.

Hailey’s Thoughts:

“Jesus was born in a barn.  He was with all the animals.  He had a bed of hay.  I would not like that, it would scratch me. The angel flies down to tell the mommy she would have a cute little baby.  They had to ride a donkey.  Donkeys smell.  I like them.  Baby Jesus was sleeping and the people gave him gifts.  All the people and the sheep went to the barn to see the baby.  His mommy and daddy keep him safe from the mean people.  The end.

I like it, I love the puzzles!  I like to get presents on my birthday.  I can do the puzzles because I’m a big girl.  Madison helps me.”

Mom’s Thoughts:

I absolutely love the puzzle books in this series by Candle Books.  The puzzles are beautifully illustrated, fun and durable.  The pieces don’t get lost because they stay in the book.  We all enjoyed the “Christmas Jigsaw Book.”  Both girls enjoyed putting the puzzles together over and over again.  The puzzle pieces have stayed intact and are very durable.  I would recommend this wonderful story and its puzzles for any child 3 to 6 years of age.
