“Benjamin Bear Says Thank You” begins with Benjamin Bear bouncing off to the park where he finds Lofty playing ball. Benjamin kicks the ball hard and it goes into the bushes. Fizzy returns the ball and Lofty says “thank you” but Benjamin does not. After being reminded, Benjamin says “thank you” also. By the end of the book, Benjamin has it down pat and even helps to remind others of the importance of having good manners.
Max: “I wish the snow was gone so we could go to the park too! The bear kicked that ball super hard all of the way into the woods! That monkey got it for them though. The bear should have said ‘thank you’ though. They had to tell him that. It was nice when they let him have their swing too. That was the picture I liked the best. I say ‘thank you’ all of the time.”
Parent’s comments:
“Benjamin Bear Says Thank You” is another fun Benjamin Bear book that teaches young children the importance of manners. My son and I really enjoyed the characters in the book and as a parent I loved the lessons being taught.
