Cayden: “In this book there is a spotted dog named Bailey. His daddy is a mailman and when he goes to work Bailey sneaks out. First he chases a lizard and then goes to find his friend, a dog named Frankie who looks like a hot dog. They go in the pool and for a walk and get ice cream from some kids. Then Bailey’s daddy finds them and they have to go home. I liked the pictures at the end of the real dog named Bailey. That dog did some of the same things that the dog in the book did. My favorite picture in the book was when the dogs were sitting at the picnic table eating tacos.”
Parent’s comments:
“Bailey’s Day” was a cute book and we really enjoyed the multiple photographs of the real Bailey at the end of the book. The illustrations were bright and fun to look at. The all caps text choice was a little hard on the eyes, but other than that we enjoyed the book!
