“In ‘Aunt Tami’s Strawberry Farm’ Valerie and Johnny’s mom takes them to their aunt’s strawberry farm. I wish one of our aunts had a strawberry farm so we could go there all of the time. We do go to a strawberry farm though that isn’t too far away.
They pick strawberries, but Valerie eats a lot of them. My brother does that too when we go, he eats lots of them. The boy in the book thinks they should have a contest to see who can find the biggest strawberry. I think that we should have that contest when we got to the strawberry farm this year. That will be fun. I hope that I will win.
My favorite part of the book is when she has the toad in her bucket. That was my favorite picture too. She found it when she was picking berries. Maybe I will find a toad too when we go to pick berries.
The book said two times that Valerie’s face had lots of strawberry juice of it. I looked to see it, but there wasn’t any juice on her face in the pictures.
I liked this book and want the snow to melt so that the strawberries will grow at the strawberry farm and we can go pick some.”

“I like going to the strawberry farm. I love to eat strawberries. They are my favorite.
I liked when the girl found the birds. I want to have strawberry pancakes like they made in the book. I want to have a contest too to see who can find the biggest strawberry! That was a good idea that the boy in the book had.”
Parent’s comments:
“Aunt Tami’s Strawberry Farm” is a fun look at a visit to a strawberry farm. The farm where the book is set appears to be only about 15 minutes off of our usual path to visit one of Cayden and Max’s aunts. We just may stop by if we go through there during berry season!
