In “Ants in Your Pants, Worms in Your Plants!” Gilbert is in school. They have to write a spring poem, but Gilbert has trouble thinking of something to write about. I do that too. It sometimes takes me a while to think of things. I like to get really good ideas before I start writing.
Then they learn about Earth Day and have to think of an Earth Day project. Some of them the kids think of are recycling things and riding bikes instead of driving cars. My favorite project was the one about compost. They said that it smelled really bad and it had worms in it too. That was my favorite picture in the book too! “Ants in Your Pants, Worms in Your Plants!” would be a good book to read on Earth Day. It tells lots of things that you can do to help the Earth.
