Andi is a cute 6-year-old who loves her foal Taffy. She would rather ride Taffy than do chores any day. However, her brother Chad and her mother decided it was time for Taffy to be separated from her mother Snowflake. Andi didn’t like that decision at all; she thought Taffy was too young.

Andi had another problem as well. An older boy in school told her that foals can get hurt or sick when they are away from their mothers. This really worried Andi because she didn’t want anything to happen to Taffy.

After school one day Andi went to look for Taffy in the pasture but couldn’t find him. Chad told her he had to take Taffy away because Andi disobeyed him. After a very long week Chad said he was bringing Taffy home and Andi was very excited!

Zoey:

I took horseback riding lessons this summer and I know how Andi feels about her horse. I love my horse Sandy because she is very well behaved and fun to ride. You have to clean their stall, saddle them and brush them when you are finished riding. I’m now taking private lessons once a week so I can learn to gallop and later on learn how to jump. But most important you have to learn to follow directions.

Nana:

“Andi’s Lonely Little Foal” was an excellent book for Zoey to read since she has had horseback riding lessons. She learned that she had to follow directions or she or the horse could get hurt. She also learned to pray for her friends, family and horse.
