“A Pussycat’s Christmas” by Margaret Wise Brown is a story about a black and white cat named Pussycat. She knows it is almost Christmas because she can smell the nuts and tangerines and the spicy smell of the Christmas tree. And unlike other cats, she likes to play and pounce in the snow. On Christmas, when her family is at church, she attacks the Christmas tree and bats at the ornaments and rips at the tissue paper and ribbons on the packages.
The illustrations are extremely good and very detailed. Pussycat looks fluffy and cute and cuddly. She looks very real and always looks like she has a smile on her face. I especially like the picture of the cat stretched out by the fire.
I would recommend “A Pussycat’s Christmas” by Margaret Wise Brown to people who like cats and Christmas. I didn’t think this was a very exciting book, but the pictures were cute.
