“A Pocket Full of Kisses” is a beautifully illustrated story about Chester the raccoon and the jealousy he feels about his little brother. The pictures are large and bright and the words were easy to read.
Zoey: “I liked the raccoons; they were so cute and had big eyes. Chester wanted to give back his little brother because he was playing with his toys and reading his books. When his mother gave a special kiss in the middle of his little brother’s hand, Chester really got upset. His mommy said that each brother had a special kiss just meant for them and she would never give away his kiss.”
“A Pocket Full of Kisses” is very well written- after the story Zoey wanted to have her own special kiss in her hand. She could understand what was going on in the story and could explain why people got jealous. We read the book once together; then Zoey looked through the pictures again and read it to her mom.
