“Miss Dorothy and Her Bookmobile” is a wonderful book that talks about the love of books and how everyone can have access to books to read. The pictures are very well done and children can relate to all of them and the story.

Zoey:

“I love the library. I go at school and with my Nana. This story tells about a little girl named Dorothy who always wanted to be a librarian ‘cuz she loved to read. She went to a library school to learn to be a librarian. But in her town most people couldn’t get to the library because they lived so far away. So she decided to buy a bookmobile. That’s where books are on a truck and books are put in there and then it goes to places where people can’t get books. Our library has one. Everyone should be able to get books to read. I think it would be fun to drive a bookmobile.”

Nana:

“Miss Dorothy and Her Bookmobile” was so interesting and really shows that you can share with others who don’t have the same opportunities that you have. Zoey was very upset that some kids don’t get to go to the library, so she decided that she would share her books with kids who live in shelters.
