“This book has three different stories in it about Flappy and Scrappy.  These Level 2 books are my favorite because they have a lot of words and I can read them by myself.  Sometimes I put a bookmark in the book if I want to take a break from reading it.  My favorite story in the book was the last one when it was Scrappy’s birthday and they had a party for him.  They all said ‘Happy Birthday, Scrappy’ at the end.”

Parent’s comments:

“Flappy and Scrappy” is an I Can Read! Level 2 book, which is for developing readers.  As my son stated these are his favorites because they go beyond just a basic story and he is able to read them from cover to cover independently.  This level uses easy words in longer sentences which helps a new reader develop confidence in his/her reading ability.  “Flappy and Scrappy” is a fun book with an engaging story line that held my son’s interest.
