The book “Nuzzle” is about a dog named Chancer who is a service dog.  At first I thought the dog’s name was going to be Nuzzle because of the title but it wasn’t.  Nuzzle means that the dog kisses him and lays by him.  In the beginning, the dog went to a home where he was chained outside all of the time.  That was sad.  Then he went to a different place, kind of like a school, where they taught him to be a service dog.

He was given to a boy, Iyal, who needed him.  Iyal has a brain injury.  Chancer helps him do things. 

I am glad that Chancer didn’t have to live with the family that just left him outside all of the time and never played with him.  Iyal needs him to help him and Chancer likes to live in the house much better.  I didn’t know much about service dogs and I learned a lot in “Nuzzle: Love Between a Boy and His Service Dog.”
