“I’ve Got an Idea” by Eric Walters is the story of eleven-year-old Alex, an average small-town kid who meets Twilight, a rebellious girl from New York City. Alex and his brainiac friend Sam have always been troublemakers, but Twilight is in a whole other league. So when she tells them that their parents canceled a trip to a rock concert in New York that they were going to go to, Sam jumps on the opportunity for them to go to the concert -- alone. Will their plan work? Or will their parents catch them in the act?

On their first day alone in New York, Sam gets mixed up with a gang near the bus station. They manage to get away, and they think that the gang won’t bother them again. They forget all about the gang for the rest of the trip, until the gang tracks them down again. Not only that happens, but then people they’ve never seen before start trying to track them down. Twilight, Alex, and Sam think they are part of the gang, but they don’t know, and they don’t know why they want them.

Will they get caught by the gang, their parents, or the thugs chasing them? “I’ve Got an Idea” is an action-packed story about three kids who risk it all for an adventure they’ll never forget. I would suggest this book to anyone who wants fun, excitement and adventure all rolled into one book.
