Once I had found out that Gaby Triana had written “The Temptress Four,” I was really excited about reading it. Gaby Triana has written one of my favorite books, “Backstage Pass.” Once I had started this book, I knew that she had done it again. This book was amazing! It tells the story of four high-school seniors who are best friends and are about to spend their last summer together before college. They are going on a cruise to the Bahamas called the Temptress. On the night before they set off, a fortune teller makes a prediction for them. “Eight days of strife and storms… bonds will be broken… one of you will not come home,” is what the fortune teller says.

This scares all four of them. They don’t want to lose anybody because they are all best friends. Once on the ship, this prophecy makes them do things that they wouldn’t normally do just to make it come true, or seem like it is anyway.

This book was a good read on a boring day. It wasn’t too deep or thoughtful, so I could just relax and read. This book is a good read for anyone who just wants to read without having to really put their mind completely into it. 

This book is also a good book for someone to read if they want to make sure that they know exactly what not to do on a cruise. All four of them make some key mistakes, and if they had not done that, their vacation would have gone a lot better and would have been a lot more fun. For example, when Killian stands up in the kayak, she tips it over. Once reading this, you will know that you are never to stand up in a kayak, because you can tip it over into alligator infested water.

All in all, “The Temptress Four” by Gaby Triana was fun for me to read. It was a good book, but I feel like it could have been better if the author had written more with the ending. It left me wanting more of a complete ending.
