What Lincoln Said
“What Lincoln Said” by Sarah L. Thomson is a book about the life of Abraham Lincoln. It covers how he became President, and what he did while he was the President. He could fish and build a boat, chop down trees and make fences. He became a lawyer. He ran for U.S. Senate twice and lost both times. He thought that slavery was very bad and promised, as President, to keep slavery out of the new states in the American West. This made some states want to leave the Union and caused the Civil War. I would recommend “What Lincoln Said” by Sarah L. Thomson to people who like knowing about the history of the Presidents. |
